Here is the buck taken by the governor's tag holder this past January. I finished the mount up a while back and I am finally getting around to posting it. This buck was taken with Mossback Arizona and has a gross score of 131 5/8 and nets 120 7/8 typical. This is one of those unusual bucks that would make all time Boone and Crockett as either a typical or nontypical.

N. AZ Tom Cat
Here is a photo Ben G. with his tom lion and also of the finished mount. Ben's lion ended up in a culvert and it mortally wounded one dog and put the hurt on a couple of others before he was dispatched.

San Carlos Double
Here are Phil T. and Mattew P.'s bucks that they killed last season on the San Carlos. They always wanted to do a double mount with their bucks and finally were able to get two bucks worthy of it. Sorry, I don't have a field photo of Mattew's buck, but I included on of Phil's as well as the finished mount.

Desert muzzleloader mule deer
This is a great buck taken by Brian J. of Yuma last muzzleloader season in the southern Arizona desert. It always amazes me that the desert can produce these kinds of bucks. Congratulations to Brian on a super buck.

Long 3pt. Coues
Check out this buck that Bill B. took a couple of days ago in central AZ. The photos don't even do this buck justice. He has great length everywhere with average mass but he is so long he looks thin. This is one of the most symetrical, big Coues bucks I have ever put my hands on. This buck will gross score close to 122" and has only 1" of total deductions and will probably net right around 120" as a three point. Congratulations Bill!

October Whopper Coues
Here are a couple of photos of a buck that friend Cody Nelson of The Outdoorsmans just harvested this morning. Cody Nelson and friend Cody Goff have been working this buck the past couple of days and were finally able to put everything together and harvest him. We ran a quick tape on him and he grosses 121 6/8. I will post some better photos later as these photos don't even begin to do this buck justice. Congratulations to Cody on an awesome buck!

Cold Weather Hunt up North
Customer Jimmy J. just finished his hunt north of the Arctic Circle. He was able to harvest a nice Arctic caribou and a muskox. The muskox make super neat and unusual mounts. We will post photos when we have his completed. He flew into a remote village and then had a 70 mile snowmobile ride to reach the hunting grounds. As you can see it was very cold even this early in the fall. Put on your heated socks and underwear for this hunt!

Bunch Ram
Here is the mount we just finished of Ernie Bunch's ram from December 2011. Ernie hunted with Goef Moss of Little Horn Outfitters. This ram gross scored 180 4/8 even with the brooming on his right side which he did not to long before the hunt. Goef has many good photos of this ram before he broomed and I think he was pushing the mid 180's then.

Hannah's Antelope
I was fortunate to draw an Arizona antelope tag this year and I opted to sign it over to my daughter Hannah. After several scouting trips we were having a hard time finding many antelope and not any mature bucks. When the hunt finally opened we were fortunate to find a couple of bucks that Hannah wanted to try for, but after three botched stalks things weren't looking to promising. On Monday we were able to get on this buck as he was tending his hot doe and we waited him out until he pushed his doe up into a little draw. We were able to sneak up to the head of the draw and Hannah made a clean heart shot at 180 yards. It was a reminder to me that when you are running out of confidence, persistence usually pays off.

Ulmer Buck
Here is a photo of Jeremy's December Coues deer from last year that I just finished. This buck officially grosses 134 3/8 and nets 128 5/8. Jeremy has taken some other bucks that gross over 120, including a huge drop tine buck that ranks high in Pope and Young.

Old Coues
Here is a mount I just finished recently of an old coues buck. The hunter had been seeing this buck for the past three years and finally was able to take him this past October. He was apparently tucked away in some out of the way spot where he saw few humans. The buck had no front teeth left and his molars were worn down to the gumline. It is rare to see a deer get this age anymore with all the hunting pressure they receive. Despite his lack of teeth, he was healthy and had a larger than average body size. The hunter found one of the buck's sheds from a couple of years prior and he wanted it with the mount, so this is what I put together for him.

Another Goat Finished
Here are some photos of Jimmy J.'s Alaskan Mountain goat. Note the difference in the length of hair on Jimmy's goat versus Doug's goat. Jimmy harvested his goat in late August and the hair is probably 2 - 2 1/2 inches in length. Doug's goat was harvested in late October and the hair length on it is closer to 5 inches. It is something to think about for anyone planning a Goat hunt as the early season goats do look a little different than the late season goats.

Donnie Young's Raffle Ram
Here is a field photo of Donnie Young out of Mississippi with his desert ram he took on the raffle tag last fall. Donnie hunted with Jay Scott and Darr Colburn of Colburn and Scott Outfitters . The hunt took place in unit 15D. I have also included a photo of Donnie's mount that we just finished up.

Goat Goes Home
We just finished Doug H.'s mountain goat and he picked it up this past Saturday. He took this goat in Alaska on a backback hunt (see earlier post in archive). I am amazed at the length of the hair every time I mount a late season goat like Doug's. I have included a field photo as well as a photo of the finished mount.

134+ Coues
Here are a couple of field photos of Shane Rhoton and his giant Mexico coues buck. His Brother Chad also killed a great big buck on the same hunt and I will try to get photos of that soon. Also, I posted a photo of the table pedestal we just finished with Shanes buck. Enjoy!

Alaska Dalls
We just finished mounting a couple of Dall sheep for some customers. Here are Clint W. and Gordon W. with their Dall sheep they harvested this past fall on a hunt in Alaska. They hunted with their Brother-in-law, Shane, who is a dentist and resident in Alaska. Shane and his brother both took nice sheep last year.

Arizona Desert Ram
Here are some photos of Charlie B. with his desert ram he harvested back in December. I believe this ram checked out with the game and fish at around 179. I will officially score him next month after the 60 day drying period is up and let you know. 2011 appears to be another good sheep year in Arizona with several rams in the 170's taken.
