Averi's Sheep and a Bobcat for Bob

We have been really busy in the shop and haven't had much time to post but here is Averi E.'s desert sheep and Bob J.'s bobcat.

We recently finished this lifesize Dall sheep.

Hyena, Bontebok and Aoudad

Here are a few more mounts that we recently finished up.  The Hyena was taken by Alan H. and the Bontebok was taken by Wes B.; both trophies are from Africa.  The Aoudad was taken by Mike H. on a West Texas hunt.

More Desert Sheep

Here are some more sheep we did this year for some lucky hunters.  The wall pedestal ram is Dave Martin's 182+ ram from unit 22 and the wide horned shoulder mount is Dennis Loescher's 180+ ram from 24B.  The laying ram with his head to the left is Carl L.'s giant 185 24B ram.  Good luck to this years hunters, only a little over a week away!

 

Sheep

Here are some photos of a few sheep we recently finished.  We complete all desert sheep mounts in time for the ADBSS sheep hunter and ram recognition banquet held each fall for those hunters who wish to attend and display their sheep.

Huge Desert Nelsoni Sheep

Here are a couple of photos of Claude Warren's big ram from last fall.  Claude was lucky enough to be the winner of the super raffle sheep tag which allows him to hunt most of the units along the Colorado River.  Claude hunted with Jay Scott and Darr Colburn of Colburn and Scott Outfitters
Claude's ram grosses 185 3/8 inches and nets 181 1/8, making it the top Nelsoni ever taken in Arizona if I am not mistaken.  Thanks to Claude for letting me do this awesome sheep.

 

 

 

 

Hallman Ram

Here is Alan Hallman's desert bighorn he harvested this past December in Western Arizona.  This great ram gross scored 174 6/8 and nets 173 5/8 Boone and Crockett. 
 

Northwest Territories Moose, Dall Sheep, Caribou

Here are some photos of Craig H.'s hunt last fall in Northwest Territories.  Craig spent 21 days on the hunt and saw a lot of good animals.  He passed on this caribou and then after looking at the photos of it that night he decided he had made a mistake.  He was able to relocate the bull about 4 miles away the next morning and harvested him.  He also took a nice moose and Dall sheep.  I have included some photos of his Dall and Caribou mounts I did.  He put his moose up in European mount.

 

186 7/8 gross Desert Bighorn

Here is a great desert ram taken last year by Ernie Meeske.  Ernie has been applying for many years to draw this tag and he made the most of it.  He made several scouting trips and looked at several super rams.  Ernie had his son Seth, son-in-law Jeremy, and friends Jay Scott, Jack Johnson Jr., Jack Johnson Sr. and some others along to help.  You can see a video of the kill at Jayscottoutdoors.  Ernie watched the ram for several hours until he moved into a position for a shot.  He was afraid the ram would go over a cliff into the lake.  It did end up going over a cliff, but due to waiting him out, it didn't end up in the water (It did end up in a cactus patch).  Enjoy the photos of Ernie's sheep mount. Alaska Arctic Grizz and Dall

Here is an inland  Alaska Grizzly bear from north of the Arctic Circle that we recently finished.  The bear and one of the Dall sheep were taken by Brian R. and the other Dall was taken by his brother Chad R.  Brian and Chad have a brother who lives in Alaska so they get some great opportunities to hunt up there.  Brian has a Brown bear hunt planned for this fall and it sounds like an insane adventure.  Stay tuned and hopefully we will have some good photos of that hunt later on.

Giant 16A ram

Here is a great ram taken by Jerry H. and guided by Matt Dominy of Kofa Outfitters.  This is the largest ram on record taken from 16A.  Jerry was lucky enough to harvest this 180" giant back in December.  We will post photos of this great ram mounted later this year.
